Desert Stormfront is a fast-paced strategy game that is set in the Persian Gulf War. This game is a throwback to popular RTS titles such as Age of Empires, Red Alert, and Warcraft. During each match, you will need to manage every aspect of your base and army so that you aren’t overrun by the enemy. In addition to having an interesting campaign, Desert Stormfront also has a multiplayer option that lets you play against up to seven other players. Anyone who is a fan of classic RTS games is sure to love Noble Master’s Desert Stormfront.

When you start the campaign, you are going to find yourself in the opening stages of the Persian Gulf War. Iran quickly allies itself with Iraq and Syria as it attempts to take control of the Persian Gulf. In order to stop that aggressive push, the United States, Germany, France, and Great Britain throw themselves into the fray. When you begin your first match, the game runs you through a basic tutorial that teaches you all of the commands and mechanics. Once you have completed the tutorial, you can work your way through 30 distinct levels.

Most levels can be completed in 20 or 30 minutes, but they become progressively harder as you move forward. You can also adjust the settings in order to make the AI opponents more difficult. On its hardest settings, this game is nearly impossible, and you will need both skill and luck if you want to come out on top. After you are familiar with the controls, you might want to jump into a multiplayer game.

The skirmish mode in Desert Stormfront has a few different options to choose from. Up to eight separate factions can play at the same time, and those factions can be any mixture of human players and AI opponents. You can either compete against your friends or work alongside one another to beat the computer. Even though the computer factions can be challenging, you will most likely get to a point where you can easily beat anything that they throw at you.

The soundtrack for this game is somewhat generic, but it does the mood for each battle. The voiceovers, on the other hand, are incredibly bland. Luckily, you can easily change all of the audio settings directly through the main menu. As for the graphics, you aren’t going to see any eye-catching 3D renderings. That being said, all of the units and structures have their own unique traits, and that makes them easy to tell apart.

When it comes to classic RTS titles, Desert Stormfront perfectly fits the mold. This game only takes a few minutes to get the hang of, and most players will enjoy the campaign and multiplayer skirmishes as long as they are fans of the genre. Desert Stormfront is also very lightweight, and that makes it the perfect option for anyone who is using an older computer system.
